I am very happy to announce, that the first release v239.1 of the elogind v239 series has happened today!
Besides this step forward, I published the service releases v236.3 and v238.2.
Before posting the respective changelogs, I want to thank all people who helped with testing and bugfixing whole-heartily! Thank you very much everybody!
Changes in v236.3
This is a service release addressing the following issues:
Fixes
- Fix elogind being non-reactive to laptop lid events
- Fix an issue with program_invocation[_short]_name when non-glibc libc implementations are used that provide these globals

- Added elogind-inhibit.xml to generate the elogind-inhibit man page
Changes in v238.2
This is a service release addressing the following issues:

- Fix compatibility issues with glibc-2.28
- Fix elogind being non-reactive to laptop lid events
- Fix an issue with program_invocation[_short]_name when non-glibc
libc implementations are used that provide these globals - Fix session finalization, sessions no longer stay as “closing”
forever.

- Support system_bus_socket to be found in /var/run/dbus as well as
/run/dbus

It seems that v239 will be the version with the quickest service release ever. Not even 24 hours after the release, and several issues popped up, although I have used this for the last three weeks. Oh dear…
